VietJetAir to launch HCM City-Singapore route

DA NANG (Biz Hub) — Budget airline, VietJet Air, will officially launch its new route from the HCM City to Singapore from May 23rd with daily flights, the airline informed Biz Hub on Friday.

The flight from the Tan Son Nhat International airport will depart at8:50 a.m.(local time) and the return flight from the Changi International airport in Singapore will depart at12:40 a.m.(local time) to HCM City.

The HCM City – Singapore route (SGN-SIN) will operate daily with seven flights per week and the one-side trip will take 1hour and 50 minutes.

This route will provide 2,520 seats per week to meet the increasing travel demands.

On Thursday, VietJetAir also received a new Sharklet from the Airbus manufacturing facility in Hamburg, Germany.

VietJets Development Director, Desmond Lin, stated that VietJetAir is launching the SGN-SIN route in order to meet the demands of leisure and business travellers as well as students between the two countries. With this launch, VietJet will continue to work on its commitment to expand and develop at a larger scale in the Asia-Pacific region".

Currently, VietJetAir operates on 23 domestic and international routes. The airline has ambitions to fly to more domestic destinations and expand its operations to economic centres in the Asia-Pacific region. The carrier expects to provide passengers with more destinations and extensive flight schedules.— VNS
