HA NOI (BizHub)— Nearly 300 local and foreign companies turned out to show off the latest developments in construction at the Vietbuild 2013 exhibition in the capital city on Wednesday.

The event, focusing on property, internal and external design and construction materials, is the country's largest construction sector expo. The event marks the second time it has been held in Ha Noi and the forth expo held nationwide.

Alongside more than 1,200 booths featuring building materials, internal and external decorative items, and equipment such as solar energy systems, real estate companies will also be promoting their latest projects.

The event has attracted a high number of domestic construction firms and representatives from around 14 countries and territories, including Japan, the US, China, South Korea, Malaysia, Thailand, Italy, Hong Kong, Switzerland, Australia and Germany.

Deputy Minister of Construction Nguyen Tran Nam, said economic recovery had transformed the nation's real estate market.

According to organisers, the expo which will run until November 17 and feature a seminar on new products as well as new environmentally friendly technologies in the construction sector, and a forum for businesses to discuss new trends and consumer demand. — VNS
