The 6th Viet Nam International Coffee, Tea, and Bakery Expo (Coffee Expo 2022) opened on November 3 with more than 150 domestic and international brands.
This is the first time that Coffee Expo 2022 is back since 2019 due to the global pandemic.
This is an opportunity for domestic and international companies to meet and seek export opportunities, attract investment, and survey the market.
The expo features 250 booths displaying a wide range of tea and coffee products, as well as machinery, equipment and materials to make coffee, beverages and foodstuffs.
Famous coffee brands are at the event, including La Viet Coffee, Shin Coffee, Phuong Vy, UCC Coffee, Simexco, Minh Tien and Mercon Specialty.
This year's event also promotes coffee makers from premium brands such as Vina Rosater, Vovos, Bestbarista, Asian Dragon, and Ly Gia Vien, as well as other cooking machinery, including a special robot for hand-frying chicken from the Robert Chicken brand in Korea.
Other activities at the event include training classes, seminars, and the final round of the Vietnam Coffee Challenge Competition.
Director of Dubai Multi Commodities Centre’s (DMCC) Agri Commodities Saeed Al-Suwaidi told Viet Nam News that Viet Nam is one of the centre’s most important markets and the second-largest coffee producer in the world, and that they want to utilise this event to promote how they can help Vietnamese coffee businesses and add value to them.
CEO of La Viet Coffee Tran Nhat Quang from Da Lat City said that his "purpose in joining this expo is to show off the quality of Vietnamese coffee and introduce my brand to the world."
"HCM is the place that can connect Vietnamese businesses to the global market. This exhibition is a great opportunity for me to bring a new Vietnamese coffee experience to everyone," he added.
The event is co-organised by Coex Vietnam and Vinexad with the support of the Viet Nam Coffee - Cocoa Association and the Buon Ma Thuot Coffee Association, which are sponsored by DMCC Dubai and Funding Societies.
The event is being held at the Sai Gon International Exhibition and Convention Center (SECC) until November 5. — VNS
