HA NOI (Biz Hub) — Da Nang's People's Committee has asked the provincial Departments of Justice, Natural Resources and Environment and Land Registry Office not to permit transfer of Thien Thanh Group Ltd Company's assets.
The firm's assets, which include property, shares and buildings, have been blocked following the arrest of three top officials of the HCM City-based Thien Thanh Group Ltd Company on July 29 for alleged violation of Viet Nam's Penal Code Article 165.
The chairman of the People's Committee Van Huu Chien said in the legal document sent on September 4 that the decision was made at the request of the Ministry of Public Security's investigation agency.
On August 29, the People's Committee in the central province of Quang Ngai sent a legal document, asking the provincial authorities not to permit the transfer of Thien Thanh's blocked assets. Meanwhile, the investigation agency has also requested the Department of Justice of HCM City not to allow the transfer of Thien Thanh's 13 projects in the city, one project in the southern province of Binh Duong and one project in Ba Ria – Vung Tau.
The Thien Thanh Group Ltd Company owns numerous projects including the Thien Thanh Trade Center, Green Plaza Hotel and Office in Da Nang and Thien Thanh Trading, Services and Hotel Complex in Quang Ngai province. It is a subsidiary of the Thien Thanh Group, and works in the sectors of construction material, auto services, real estate, finance and hotels. — VNS
