HCM CITY (Biz Hub)— The Southern Power Corporation of Electricity of Viet Nam (EVN) has outlined a new power-grid plan for 21 southern provinces with a total value of VND4 trillion ($189.68 million).

The project includes installation of more than 1,500km of power lines as well as a 220kV grid station with power of 750 MVA.

This year, the corporation said it had saved 2.55 per cent of commercial electricity output, equivalent to 1.2 billion kWh. This result exceeded EVN's target, which was 800 million Kwh for the year (equivalent to 2 per cent of commercial electricity output).—VNS
