HA NOI (VNS) — Singapore's total investments in Vietnam last year rose to 153 per cent to reach US$4.37 billion, according to the Foreign Investment Agency.
Of the total, $3.01 billion was poured into 105 new projects and the rest was the additional capital of 34 existing projects.
There were 1,219 valid Singaporean-invested projects in Vietnam with a combined capital of over $29.31 billion at the end of 2013.
Singapore currently ranks second among the 101 countries and territories investing in Vietnam.
Also last year, Vietnam had three more investment projects in Singapore with a combined capital of $35.7 million, bringing Vietnam's total investment in that country to nearly $185 million.— VNS
