VUNG ANG (Biz Hub) — The Department of Energy under the Ministry of Industry and Trade signed a memorandum of understanding on BOT project of thermo-electric plant Vung Ang 3 with Samsung C&T Corporation on Tuesday.
The plant will have an output capacity of 1,200 MW, and is expected to be completed by July 2022.
This is Samsung C&T's first thermo-electric project in Viet Nam.
Joon Suk Choi, deputy director of Samsung C&T, spoke highly of the support and co-operation the company had received from Viet Nam's Government, ministries and agencies, which created favourable conditions for survey and research work. — VNS
