HCM City’s Sales Promotion Month this year was inaugurated on Thursday at the 23 September Park by the city’s Department of Industry and Trade, which hopes to stimulate shopping demand and attract international visitors to the country.
On display at the booths of the event are high-quality “made-in-Viet Nam” goods for exports to overseas markets which demand standardised goods, such as the United States, Japan and the European Union.
Over 50 firms and manufacturers are displaying many goods at more than 150 booths at the park. They include Vinamilk, Saigon Co.op, Paramax, Fahasa, Bibica, Kinh Do, Coca Cola, MobileFone, Viet Tien, Nha Be, Thang Loi, Dien Quang, Minh Long 1, My Pham Sai Gon Beauty Product, Sacombank – SBJ, Truong Vui, Huong Mi, Dien May Thien Hoa, Tiki, Pinaco, GrabTaxi, Cholimex, Yan, Yeah1 and Zalo.
Most of them are seeking to introduce their brand names, products and images to customers.
The Online Sales Promotion Week, which runs from August 25 to September 1, introduces online business activities included in the Sales Promotion Month.
The website http//khuyenmaitructuyenhcm.gov.vn carries information about the sales promotion activities.
Participants are required to ensure the origin and quality of their goods, and they are also supervised by the city’s Department of Industry and Trade, which hopes to promote e-commerce.
The participants include leading websites such as Thegioididong, Tiki, Sendo, Lazada and Hotdeal, which offer many standard products ranging from household appliances, mobile phones and fashion goods to services such as food and package tour coupons and online payment services such as Payoo, 123pay and Zalopay.
As part of the 2017 sales promotion month, a fair will be organised at Phu Tho Stadium from August 30 to September 4, with some 250 firms displaying their goods at 500 booths.
The goods on sale will mainly be essential items, consumer products, food, beverages, garments and textiles, handicrafts, chemicals and cosmetics and household appliances.
There will be many well-known brands, which will hope to attract visitors during the Independence Day (2 September) holidays.
