HCM CITY (Biz Hub)– An Indonesia-Viet Nam Trade, Tourism and Investment forum, accompanied by an evening gala and charity dinner, will be held in HCM City on June 13-14.
The forum is organised by the Embassy of the Republic of Indonesia in Ha Noi and the Consulate General of the Republic of Indonesia in HCM City, in collaboration with the Viet Nam Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
The forum will include discussion of the implementation of a Plan of Action, particularly to reach the target of bilateral trade volume of US$5 billion by the year 2015.
The forum serves as a venue for business sectors from both countries to meet and network.
A total of 250 Vietnamese and Indonesian corporations and enterprises from various sectors, including local travel agencies, are expected to participate in the event. High-ranking dignitaries from Indonesia and Viet Nam will also attend.
The forum will include a panel discussion on Indonesia's and Viet Nam's economic outlook; a breakout/networking session on trade, investment and tourism; a one-on-one business meeting and investment clinic; and a products exhibition as well as a Cultural and Charity Night.
An evening Gala Dinner on June 13 and a charity dinner on June 14 will present Indonesian artists performing traditional dances and folk songs. Also included will be a heritage batik fashion show, a contemporary band and an Angklung orchestra.
Under the theme of "A Journey to Wonderful Indonesia: Cultural and Charity Night", the show will illustrate the diversity of cultures and richness of Indonesian arts to Vietnamese and other foreigners living in HCM City and surrounding areas.
Ticket proceeds from the charity dinner will be donated to vulnerable groups of society. A silent auction will also be conducted in order to raise more funds.--VNS
