HA NOI (Biz Hub)— Tuna importers from the EU, the US and Australia asked Vietnamese tuna exporters to obtain the "Dolphin Safe Tuna" label from the Earth Island Institute (EII).
The EII has asked all Vietnamese export businesses to label all products with the registration number of fishing ships, output, operating field, time, date and place of docking and name of supervising officials from Vietnamese State agencies.
The Vietnamese Association of Seafood Exporters and Processors (VASEP) said this was an important issue, so State agencies must provide adequate information to the EII and other relevant agencies. — VNS
