HCM CITY (Biz Hub) — The latest technologies in control, design, testing and measurement, and automation are on show at the annual Graphical System Design Summit in HCM City on December 3.

The summit also showcases how the graphical system design approach can help accelerate innovation, discovery, and productivity.

Chandran Nair, Southeast Asia managing director of the US-based National Instruments, a leading engineering tools and instruments manufacturer and organiser of the event, told the summit that an integrated approach with flexible tools would help engineers and scientists optimise their performance and cost.

Since the opening of an office in HCM City in 2011, NI has seen strong growth in industries like automotive, infrastructure, oil and gas, and manufacturing as well as in the research and academic sectors, he said.

The government has set a target of US$40 billion for electronics exports by 2017, he said, adding that it is helping achieve this by strengthening the engineering ecosystem.
