HA NOI (Biz Hub) — Business opportunities and challenges in the US were the main focus of a workshop in Ha Noi on Monday.

The workshop aimed to prepare municipal businesses for the Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP) agreement.

According to Dang Duc Dung, former deputy chairman of the Ha Noi Young Entrepreneur Association (HYEA), the TPP will assist Vietnamese businesses in gaining access to a market with over 800 million people and accounting for 40 percent of the global GDP.

Dung also noted that through the agreement, Viet Nam could establish relationships with other members. It could also see increased opportunities for receiving investments and advanced technology from partner countries.

Bill Delaney, a lawyer on international commerce, said that in order to invest and run businesses effectively in the US, entrepreneurs would have to meet state and national business regulations.— VNS
