HA NOI (Biz Hub) — Vietnamese Ambassador to Canada To Anh Dung affirmed Viet Nam's efforts to improve the business environment and called for Canadian enterprises to invest in Viet Nam at a business forum organised in Halifax, Canada, late last week.

The forum was jointly held by the Vietnamese Embassy in Canada, Kisserup International Trade Roots, the authority of Nova Scotia province and the regional representative office – Department of Foreign Affairs, Trade and Development of Canada, as part of economic diplomacy activities in 2014.

Nova Scotia's Governor Stephen McNeil, Halifax's Mayor Mike Savage and over 100 representatives from Canadian enterprises, businesses' associations and relevant agencies were introduced to opportunities to do business in Viet Nam.

On the same day, Ambassador Dung and other officials had working sessions with Mayor Savage and Halifax Port Authority. Mayor Savage said he plans to lead a city business delegation to seek investment opportunities in Viet Nam in the coming time. — VNS
