BINH DINH (Biz Hub) — The central coastal province of Binh Dinh yesterday approved an investment by KinderWorld Education Group of Singapore to build Outward Bound skills education facilities.
The 60.3ha project at the Tan Thanh tourist site in the Nhon Hoi Economic Zone will be developed in three phases at a cost of US$10 million. It will include an Outward Bound life skills centre and auxiliary facilities; accommodation for students, teachers and experts; and other facilities.
Outward Bound, founded in 1941 in Wales, is a non-profit educational organisation and expedition school that serves people of all ages and backgrounds through challenging learning expeditions that encourage self-discovery, both in and out of the classroom.
The project aims to offer programmes that meet international standards to help students, officials, experts and domestic and foreign travellers develop life skills, while also providing housing, health care, catering, entertainment and sports services.
The Chairman of Binh Dinh province's People's Committee, Ho Quoc Dung, said he greatly appreciated the efforts of the Group to research the project and decide on the construction of the education centre.
He said he would favourably apply investment incentive policies to help the investor complete the project.
This is the 16th project by KinderWorld Education Group in Viet Nam, following its projects in Ha Noi, HCM City and Da Nang city. It also has projects in Binh Duong province, Nha Trang city and Vung Tau city. It has played a key role in helping youth develop skills to overcome challenges in life.
KinderWorld Education Group was established in Singapore in 1986 to provide quality educational programmes in creative and challenging learning environments. The Group is stepping up its operations in Australia, Indonesia, China and Viet Nam. — VNS
