HA NOI (Biz Hub)– Shares extended their rally in HCM City this morning, but retreated in Ha Noi.

On the HCM City Stock Exchange, the VN-Index added 0.3 per cent to reach 484.38 points.

Trading value declined over yesterday morning to VND513.6 billion (US$24.4 million) as nearly 27.9 million shares changed hands.

The gains of 12 blue chips tracked by the VN30 helped the index advance 0.23 per cent to 541.11 points. Meanwhile, nine other stocks fell slightly.

Meanwhile, on the Ha Noi Stock Exchange, the HNX-Index shed 0.27 per cent, reaching 62.68 points. Losers overwhelmed gainers by 83-56.

Trading value reached VND117.7 billion ($5.6 million) with 15 million shares exchanged.

The HNX30, composed of the northern bourse's 30 leading shares, however bucked the trend in the Ha Noi market to add 0.2 per cent to 117.64 points. - VNS
