HA NOI (Biz Hub) — The domestic markets closed mixed this morning, with the HCM City Exchange ending higher and the H No^.i Exchange finishing lower.
The VN-Index on the southern bourse increased by 0.12 per cent or 0.7 points during the morning trading to finish at 592.27 points.
Nearly 80 million shares changed hands with a trading value of VND1.2 trillion, or US$57.1 million.
The VN30-Index, tracking the HCM City Exchange's 30 largest stocks by capitalisation and liquidity, edged up 0.09 per cent to close at 671.05 points.
This was thanks to the gains made by firms such as Vinamilk, Hoang Anh Gia Lai, the PetroVietnam Low Pressure Gas Distribution Corporation and the REE Corporation, among four others, which helped clear the losses incurred by 12 blue chips.
The losers included the Bao Viet Group, the FPT Group, Kinh Do and the PetroVietnam Transportation Corporation.
On the Ha Noi Exchange, the HNX-Index dropped 0.92 per cent to close at 88.62 points, while the HNXFF-Index ended this morning at 89.54 points, losing 1.01 per cent.
The HNX30-Index lost 0.85 per cent to finish at 182.44 points.
With more than 57 million shares traded, the trading value reached VND660 billion, or $31.4 million. — VNS
