HA NOI (Biz Hub) — Hong Kong's Hang Seng Index lost 473.96 to close at 21,976.10 on January 27, leading the losers among Asian stock indices. In mainland China, the Shanghai Composite Index closed 21.09 points lower at 2,033.30.
Japan's Nikkei 225 lost 385.83 points to finish at15,005.73, while the Topix Index slipped 35.37 points to close at 1,229.23.
In Southeast Asia, the Straits Times Index also lost 33.56 points to end at 3,042.43 in Singapore, while the two bourses in Viet Nam ended with mixed fortunes. The VN Index lost 3.67 points to end at 556.52 in HCM City, while the HNX Index advanced 0.56 points to close at 74.22 in the capital city of Viet Nam. — VNS
