HA NOI (Biz Hub) — Major Asian indexes slumped on January 23, with the Hong Kong Hang Seng Index losing 348.35 points to end at 22,733.90.
The Nikkei 225 slipped 125.07 points to end at 15,695.89, while the Topix Index also edged down 12.11 points to close at 1,287.52.
The Shanghai Composite Index edged down 9.57 points to finish at 2,042.18 in mainland China. The Straits Times Index also edged down 33.35 points to end at 3,100.24 in Singapore.
In the local market, the VN Index gained 1.63 points to reach 553.55 in HCM City and the HNX Index added 0.02 points to end at 73.44 in the capital city of Viet Nam. — VNS
