HA NOI (Biz Hub) — The Hang Seng Index rose 0.2 per cent to 25,166.91 points on August 25, its highest close since May 21, 2008.
In Singapore, the Straits Times Index closed up 4.78 points at 3,330.28.
The Nikkei 225 index gained 74.06 points to 15,613.25. The Topix index of all first-section issues was up 0.41 per cent, or 5.24 points, at 1,291.31.
The two bourses in Viet Nam also recorded better results. The VN index edged up 5.74 points to close at 625.88, and the HNX added 1.47 points to stand at 84.81 in the capital city. — VNS
