HA NOI (Biz Hub) — The Hang Seng Index added 118.13 points, ending 0.47 per cent higher, to reach 25,112.23 in Hong Kong on August 22.
The Vietnamese markets also rallied. The VN Index gained 7.20 points to close at 620.14, and the HNX also increased 0.33 points to finish at 83.34 in the capital city.
The Shanghai Composite Index added 10.35 points to finish at 2,240.81 in mainland China, and the Straits Times Index gained 4.38 points to end the day at 3,328.5 in Singapore.
The Nikkei 225, on the other hand, lost 47.01 points to finish at 15,539.19, and the Topix Index closed down 5.12 points to end the day at 1,286.07.
