HA NOI (Biz Hub) — The second "Online Friday," also known as "Online Shopping Day 2015," will likely record sales worth US$25 million, according to Viet Nam E-Commerce and Information Technology Agency.
The forthcoming shopping event, which is slated for December 5, is expected to attract more than 2,500 businesses, added the agency that is under the Ministry of Industry and Trade.
During the first Online Friday, traders had recorded sales worth VND154 billion (US$7.23 million), the agency noted, adding that more than 1,000 traders showcasing 3,226 products had participated in the shopping event that was held on the first Friday of December (December 5) via two websites, ngaymuasamtructuyen.vn and onlinefriday.vn.
The event had created an opportunity for e-commerce enterprises, including banks, delivery companies, and online sales shops, to improve their cooperation and the quality of their customer service.
On Online Friday, consumers who make online purchases enjoy special discounts, free shipping of items, and other incentives from participating businesses.— VNS
