HCM CITY (Biz Hub) — Diversified group Vingroup last Saturday (Dec. 26) opened its first hospital in HCM City, Vinmec Central Park International Hospital, which is the third in its Vinmec healthcare system.

Situated inside Vinhomes Central Park residential project in Binh Thanh District, the general hospital cost VND1,200 billion (US$53 million).

It has 178-bed hospital has 16 specialty wards including maternity, paediatrics, respiratory, traumatology and orthopaedics.

There are support facilities such as a laboratory, cardiovascular centre, and diagnostic imaging centre.

The facility boasts advanced equipment like Toshiba's CT 640 and Siemens's MRI 3 Tesla.

It is the first of the three Vinmec hospitals to have EVIS EXERA III endoscopy equipment from Olympus and operation rooms with international standard anaesthetics.

Vingroup's other two hospitals are in Ha Noi and Phu Quoc Island, besides which it has a clinic each in Ha Noi and HCM City.

Vingroup opened its first hospital in early 2012, and expects to have 10 by 2020 besides a medical university. — VNS
