HA NOI (Biz Hub) — VietJet will be opening a new route connecting Ha Noi with Siem Reap in Cambodia at a discounted price of VND420,000 (US$20) per ticket beginning November 3.

Last week, VietJet, which already operates international flights from Viet Nam to Singapore, Bangkok in Thailand and Seoul in South Korea, also announced it would open a direct route from HCM City to Taipei, Taiwan beginning December 12.

The Ha Noi-Siem Reap flight will depart from Ha Noi at 5.15 p.m. every day and arrive in Siem Reap at 7:05 p.m. The return flight will depart from Siem Reap at 8:05 p.m. and land in Ha Noi at 9:55 p.m. The flight lasts an hour and 50 minutes.

As the gateway to the stunning temples of Angkor, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, Siem Reap is a hugely popular resort town which has been attracting more Vietnamese tourists in recent years.

This new direct route linking Ha Noi with Siem Reap will tap the demand for travel between the two hubs and further boost the development of trade and tourism between Viet Nam and Cambodia.

"We are delighted to introduce Siem Reap as our latest destination and further demonstrate our strong commitment to developing the most dynamic flight network across the Asia-Pacific region," said Desmond Lin, VietJet business development manager. — VNS
