Nestlé Professional supports young chef Global Development

HA NOI(Biz Hub) — Nestlé Professional recently announced a cooperation agreement with the World Association of Chefs (WACS) to implement programmes to support the industry in many kitchens around the world, including in Vietnam.

Nestlé Professional will organise activities such as organizing educational sessions, exchanging experiences, introducing the product to the chef, the customers; develop recipes and products consistent with the channel restaurants and hotels and organize training courses on products for the professional chef. Specifically, under an agreement with WACS, Nestle Professional development will be accompanied to the young generation of chefs around the globe.

In Vietnam, Nestlé Professional, in close collaboration with the Association of Professional Chefs Saigon, members of WACS will conduct programmes aimed at enhancing the chefs' expertise and the kitchen industry's professionalism. There will be 1,000 professional chefs in the city.

HCM City joins this program

In a most recent activity, a contest entitled, "Talented Young Chef 2015," was organised by the Saigon Professional Chefs (SPC) in collaboration with Nestlé Professional. The organizers and judges in the competitions were renowned culinary artists of Vietnam and included world culinary artists Sanh Ly (president SPC), artist Bui Thi Suong, artist Trieu Thi Play and representative of the WACS, and international food experts Nobert Eharbar. They chose the most promising faces of Vietnam Kitchen sector in 2015. The two winners of the contest for chefs were Le Cuong Nguyen Van Thuan.—VNS
