Nestle MILO began its annual summer camp for children at the District 11 Culture and Sports Centre in HCM City last week.
To run until July 31, the Nestle MILO Energy Summer Camp 2023 is also being held in Ha Noi, Hai Phong, Da Nang, Nha Trang, and Can Tho cities, and has attracted over 20,000 participants who will be instructed in football, basketball, vovinam, and aerobics.
The camp is one of a series of activities under the company’s “Active Vietnam” programme to encourage a dynamic lifestyle and physical activity in the community, especially among children.
It has gotten millions of children to play sports since it was first held in 2013.
Tran Thi Chinh, head of marketing services at Nestle Vietnam, said: “Through the Active Vietnam programme and sports initiatives, we encourage parents and look forward to the co-operation of official agencies in a journey towards building a sustainable future and a strong-willed generation.”
Huynh Thi Ngoan, a member of the national women’s basketball team, said: “Sports is a great teacher teaching children many valuable lessons such as confidence, perseverance and determination.
