VinSmart said it sold more than 1.2 million Vsmart mobile phones after 17 months of joining the market, meaning that at least one out of 100 Vietnamese people use the brand.
Launched in December 2018, VinSmart has introduced 12 smart phone models. Their sale revenue increased from the beginning of this year, with a growth rate of 260 per cent. There are nearly 200,000 Vsmart phones sold on average each month. The brand therefore was honoured in the Top 3 best selling mobile phones in the country, accounting for 16.7 per cent market share in April. This is also one of the fastest growing phone companies in Viet Nam.
Tran Minh Trung, deputy general director of VinSmart Research and Production Company, said: “The milestone of Top 3 market share with over 1.2 million phones sold opened a new stage of development for VinSmart. After the goal of spreading the market for Vietnamese people to use Vietnamese phones widely with the best quality and price, VinSmart is ready to target the mid-range and high-class in a more trendy segment. Currently, we have reached an agreement to co-operate with the world's leading international partners in the field of technology, such as Google, Fujitsu and Pininfarina to bring a high-class experience to Vsmart products in the future."
In October 2019, VinSmart officially announced it would participate in the Russian market by launching four smartphones. Russia is the third largest mobile phone export market of VinSmart, following Spain and Myanmar. — VNS
