MoMo super app was honoured with the Excellent ‘Make in Vietnam’ Digital Product Award 2022 by the Ministry of Information and Communications.
With its efforts in promoting digital transformation in Viet Nam, the super app won two out of the four categories of the award: the Silver Award in the e-Government category and the Top 10 Make in Vietnam best digital product in the Digital Economy category.
“MoMo has now become a super app, providing almost all necessary products for Vietnamese people's life. They can use the app to transfer money, make payments, buy services such as dining, transportation, entertainment, tourism, hotels and especially financial and insurance services, and make donations,” said Nguyen Ba Diep, co-founder of MoMo.
“Achieving a high ranking at the Make in Vietnam Awards has affirmed MoMo's position in technology autonomy, creating unmatched products and services in the market, and contributing to equalising financial access opportunities for Vietnamese people in all regions. MoMo, meanwhile, is constantly pioneering the application of new trending technology to make Vietnamese people's lives easier," he said.
“Viet Nam is currently home to about five million micro-enterprises, who are small traders who employ about 35 million people. If we can help them to go digital successfully, it will have a very positive impact on the digital transformation of the entire economy and society," he added.
The awarding ceremony was held as part of the fourth National Forum on the Development of Vietnamese Digital Enterprises held in Ha Noi on December 8.
The awards aim to honour excellent digital technology products designed, innovated, and produced in Viet Nam and contributing to promoting e-government, the digital economy, and digital society. — VNS
