LOTTE MALL West Lake Hanoi – the largest complex of the Lotte Group in Việt Nam, was officially inaugurated at 272 Võ Chí Công Street, Tây Hồ District, Hà Nội on Friday after two months of trial operation.
Covering an area of 354,000sq.m, the complex includes a commercial centre, a 5-star hotel, luxury serviced apartments, and Grade A offices with modern facilities.
With five floors and two basements, this complex promises to become a unique entertainment address with the largest indoor aquarium in Hà Nội, a high-end cinema system, and an attractive entertainment space for children, alongside diverse Asian and European cuisine restaurants.
Trần Sỹ Thanh, Chairman of the Hà Nội People's Committee, said that this is Lotte’s largest project, which started its construction in 2020 with an investment capital of US$643 million.
In Hà Nội, Lotte invests in seven projects. In addition to Lotte Mall West Lake Hanoi, Lotte's prominent project is the Lotte Centre Hanoi skyscraper, located in Ba Đình District.
"The opening and putting into operation of the Lotte Mall today not only demonstrates the strength, stature, and vision of the Lotte Group but is also a symbol of the effective cooperative relationship between Việt Nam and South Korea, as well as between the two capitals Hà Nội and Seoul," Thanh added.
A series of famous global fashion brands, many of which appeared for the first time in Việt Nam, such as Karl Lagerfeld, Maison Margiela, Foot Locker, Rockport, and Camper, were also officially opened at the inauguration ceremony of Lotte Mall West Lake Hanoi.
Lotte has invested in Việt Nam since 1996, starting with the field of shopping centres and supermarkets. Lotte currently has 19 member companies in Hà Nội, Đà Nẵng, and other localities. — VNS
