Hanwha Life helps disadvantaged children celebrate Mid-Autumn Festival

Korean life insurer Hanwha on September 12 organised a programme to celebrate the Mid-Autumn Festival at the Thi Nghe Protection Centre for Disabled Orphans in HCM City's Binh Thanh District.

It is part of a series of monthly charitable activities initiated by Back Jong Kook, chairman and general director of Hanwha Life Vietnam.

On the occasion, the company gave gifts to 300 children including lanterns, cakes and milk, and donated medicines and medical instruments to the.

Its executives, staff and financial consultants made lunch for the children, and there were art performances and a magic show.

Back said: “The Mid-Autumn Festival is a traditional festival that has special significance not only to Vietnamese but also Korean culture. With the mission to help Vietnamese people make their future plans and make their dreams come true, Hanwha Life Vietnam hopes to light up more dreams and beliefs for them about a good future.”

During its 10 years in Viet Nam Hanwha Life Vietnam has sponsored many community projects, gifted health insurance cards to more than 50,300 poor people, 160 charity houses in many cities and provinces, four medical centres, two schools, and numerous scholarships. — VNS
