Dung Quất Oil Refinery Plant is operating safely and stably at over 110 per cent of design capacity, said Nguyễn Việt Thắng, deputy general director of the Bình Sơn Refining and Petrochemical Company (BSR).

It is estimated that BSR's production output will reach more than 7.34 million tonnes by the end of this year, exceeding 31 per cent of the year’s plan.

BSR has exceeded all production, business and financial targets in the 11 months of the year, said Thắng.

Specifically, BSR's production output reached over 6.7 million tonnes with a revenue reaching VNĐ134.2 trillion. The company contributed to the State budget VNĐ15.3 trillion and profit after tax exceeding the plan.

The production output of Dung Quất Oil Refinery is expected to reach 510,297 tonnes of all kinds of products, including 455,377 tonnes of petroleum products, more than 42,665 tonnes of LPG gas and 12,256 tonnes of polypropylene within this month.

With a designed capacity of 6.5 million tonnes of crude oil per year, Dung Quất oil refinery currently meets about 30 per cent of the demand of the petroleum market. — VNS
