The on-time performance (OTP) of Vietnamese carriers in May remained at a high rate, according to a report released by the Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam (CAAV).
Last month, five airlines conducted more than 28,700 flights, up 13 per cent year-on-year. Of the total, 24,800 flights were on-time, equivalent to 86.3 per cent.
Bamboo Airways recorded the highest OTP rate at 95.2 per cent, followed by Vietnam Air Services (VASCO) at 91.1 per cent, Vietnam Airlines at 89.6 per cent, Jetstar Pacific at 85.8 per cent and Vietjet at 82 per cent.
Local carriers also reported a low cancellation rate of flights, with VASCO at 1.1 per cent, Vietjet and Bamboo Airways at 0.1 per cent while Vietnam Airlines and Jestar saw no flights cancelled last month.
Previously, in response to the press, Dang Tat Thang, Bamboo Airways Permanent Vice President, said that one of the most important factors that helped maintain the airline's high OTP was “good management and precise planning”.
At Bamboo Airways, people, processes, functions, and technologies worked together with a high degree of integration at all times, he said. -- VNS
