Digiworld Corporation, a leading market expansion services provider and information and communication technologies products wholesaler, announced on Wednesday that it would start trading health supplements soon.
Its CEO, Doan Hong Viet, told Viet Nam News that the first products would hit the market by the end of next month or the beginning of June.
“They will be supplements for men’s health, children’s health, bone health, heart health, beauty and women’s health, blood health, mental health and digestive health.”
Explaining the reason for entry into the field, DWG said demand for health products is increasing thanks to higher incomes.
Many products have come into the market, but their marketing has been poor, it said, adding it has great experience in marketing.
Viet revealed that his company has invested VND40 billion (US$1.7 million) in the new business for human resources training, improving its warehouse system and market study.
He expected sales to double every year until 2020.
Due to the initial expenses, DWG expects profit to decline by 18 per cent in fiscal 2017 to VND55 billion ($2.4 million)) on revenues of VND3.97 trillion ($174 million), a 4 per cent rise.
The main revenue will come from laptops, tablets and mobile phones, with healthcare sales expected to be VND80 billion ($3.5 million) this year.
Last year the company reported net profit of VND66.7 billion ($2.9 million) on revenues of VND3.8 trillion ($1.6 billion). — VNS
