Saigon Co-op on Sunday opened its first ever Co.opmart supermarket in the northern province of Nam Dinh just ahead of the upcoming Tet (Lunar New Year) holiday.
Located on Dien Bien Street, the 4,000sq.m outlet cost more than VND75 billion (US$3.3 million).
It stocks more than 30,000 items like fresh and processed foods, cosmetics, clothes and household utensils, 90 per cent of which are high-quality Vietnamese products.
Like all other Co.opmart outlets, it also sells price-stabilised goods and acts as a conduit for the province’s specialties and other products to enter the Co.opmart chain nation-wide.
To mark its opening the new outlet is offering promotions until December 24.
Customers can get discounts of up to 50 per cent on thousands of essential items and those with bills worth at least VND300,000 can win attractive lucky-draw prizes like a Honda Lead scooter, Iphone 8 plus, LG washing machine and Sunhouse infrared cooker. — VNS
