HCM CITY (Biz Hub) — To mark their dual awards – a gold award for being the top retailer in Viet Nam and an award for being among the top 500 Asia-Pacific retailers in 2016 -- Co.opmart and Co.opXtra supermarkets will offer seven promotions for three weeks to thank their customers.

Under the programme "Tran trong cam on khach hang," meaning "Sincerely thank customers," there will be seven promotions from now to November 27, with customers able to buy thousands of essential items at up to 50 per cent discounts.

The seven are:

Firstly, the "Special prices" programme every weekend (November 5-6, 12-13 and 26-27) with discounts of VND70,000 to nearly VND300,000 on certain brands of cooking oil, instant noodles, soft drinks, detergents, shower creams, and others.

Secondly, "A week of buy more, get more incentives" (November 5-11), with super saver prices of VND500, VND2,000 and VND5,500 applied to the second, fourth and sixth items of the same product in a bill. The products eligible under the programme are cleansing milk, detergent, yoghurt, instant noodles, AFC cake, and instant coffee.

Thirdly, "Shop enthusiastically, receive vouchers" programme on November 10-11 under which more than 150,000 discount vouchers will be gifted to customers.

Fourthly, "A week of buy one, get one free" programme from November 14-20 featuring more than 1,000 household appliances and garment products when customers buying one will get a similar product free.

Fifthly, more than 60,000 useful gifts will be given to customers under a programme called "Accumulate bill to get incentives" from November 14 to 25.

Sixthly, the "Co-branded cards, millions of pleasures" programme will give cash back to customers when they make payments using BIDV cards between November 5 and 20 and Vietcombank cards on Saturdays and Sundays from now to November 30.

Seventhly, "A week of fresh foods" from November 21 to 27 will offer discounts of up to 30 per cent on nearly 100 fresh food items.

Vo Hoang Anh, marketing director of Saigon Co.op – which owns the two chains -- said through the "Sincerely thank customers" promotion programme, the Co.opmart and Co.opXtra teams would like to express their profound gratitude to customers who have trusted, supported and contributed their ideas to enable the Saigon Co.op retail system to gradually improve and serve customers better.
