Central Retail in Viet Nam has received a Certificate of Merit from the Minister of Industry and Trade (MoIT) for “Having outstanding achievements on the occasion of the 70th Anniversary of Vietnam’s Industry and Trade” on Thursday.

Olivier Langlet, Group CEO of Central Retail in Viet Nam, said, “Central Retail in Viet Nam has always strived to organise activities towards the 70th Anniversary celebration of Viet Nam’s Industry and Trade. In the past year, Central Retail has cooperated with MoIT and MARD, as well as localities across the country, to successfully organise promotional programmes for Vietnamese brands and speciality agricultural products.”

Seven weekend farmers' markets at GO!/Big C and nearly 10 seasonal speciality promotion weeks, on Sa Pa Salmon, Bac Giang Lychee, Dong Thap Pangasius, have been organised in the past year.

The event "Made in Vietnam - Essence of Vietnam" that took place in October last year was designed to promote high-quality Vietnamese products to consumers across the country. The event attracted the participation of about 100 businesses from Viet Nam's key commodities such as coffee, tea, cashew nuts, pepper, seafood, textiles, footwear and backpacks. Along with cultural and artistic activities, the event promoted the campaign “Vietnamese people use Vietnamese goods", launched by the Vietnamese Government. — VNS
