Canon Marketing Vietnam president and CEO Hiroshi Yokota on Thursday launched four new large format printers in HCM City.

They are the 24-inch imagePROGRAF TM-5200 and imagePROGRAF TM-5205 and the 36-inch imagePROGRAF TM-5300 and imagePROGRAF TM-5305 models.

"The TM Series is an exciting addition to our Viet Nam business offering," Yokota said.

The Japanese company said the imagePROGRAF TM line is designed specifically for small and medium-sized businesses.

The series offers advanced power and cost management and security features normally reserved for enterprise-grade printing solutions, it claimed.

The printers are ideal for smaller offices where space is frequently at a premium, it said.

The business and education sectors, and design, construction and production companies, which require high printing quality and speed are vital target segments for this product line, it said.

Pieter Kraan, Canon’s head regional wide format printing division cum general manager, said: “Today, customers in many business and public-sector environments want to produce high-quality large format prints on demand and need to keep external costs down.

“From that, we identified an opportunity to create a product optimised for businesses with lower print volumes who can still benefit from having their own large format inkjet printer."
