Bangkok Airways launches new route from Bangkok to Phu Quoc. — VNS Photo Thu Ngan
Thai carrier Bangkok Airways on Thursday announced plans to operate direct flights between Phu Quoc and Bangkok following the success of its Bangkok - Da Nang service.
Starting on October 29 there will be four weekly flights between Suvarnabhumi Bangkok Airport and Phu Quoc by 70-seat ATR 72-600 aircraft.
Fares will start at US$166 for a round trip.
The company said the new service is aimed to better connections for European, Thai and Vietnamese customers.
Phu Quoc is becoming a tourism hotspot, attracting over 1.45 million tourists from all over the world last year.
Bangkok is rated as one of the best shopping destinations in Southeast Asia. — VNS
