Running through December 8, 2024, the event showcases and promotes Yên Bái's agricultural products to Hà Nội consumers during the peak end-of-year shopping season.
The Yên Bái Centre for Industry Promotion and Trade Promotion, in collaboration with Central Retail Vietnam, launched the 2024 Yên Bái Agricultural, Forestry and Aquatic Products Promotion Week on Friday at the GO! Thăng Long Trade Centre.
The event also marked the signing of a cooperation agreement aimed at expanding the distribution of Yên Bái’s high-quality products across Central Retail’s retail system, particularly in preparation for the Tết (Lunar new year) holiday 2025 shopping season.
Running through to December 8, the event showcases and promotes Yên Bái's agricultural products to Hà Nội consumers during the peak end-of-year shopping season.
Deputy Director of Yên Bái's Department of Industry and Trade, Trịnh Văn Thành, said: “This year’s promotion week features participation from local enterprises and cooperatives, showcasing approximately 100 products, including Yên Bái's specialties such as Tú Lệ sticky rice cake, Mù Cang Chải honey, Lẩu Cáy glutinous rice and Suối Giàng ancient Shan Tuyết tea."
A designated area in the GO! Thăng Long supermarket highlights Yên Bái products that have gained popularity in the GO! retail system, such as Giới Phiên arrowroot vermicelli, dried forest bamboo shoots, Bát Độ bamboo shoots, dried buffalo meat and dried pork.
Communications Director of Central Retail Group, Nguyễn Thị Bích Vân, said: “Over the years, Yên Bái has actively partnered with Central Retail to introduce and promote local products to Hà Nội consumers. As a result, items such as Tú Lệ glutinous rice, fish from Thác Bà Lake, Trạm Tấu sweet potatoes, Văn Yên cinnamon, dried bamboo shoots, vermicelli, black fungus and shiitake mushrooms have consistently gained strong consumer support. Sales of these products often see double-digit growth.
"We are optimistic that this year’s event will continue to receive strong support from Hà Nội consumers, ensuring stable market outlets for Yên Bái's goods," Vân added. — VNS
