Vietnam Airlines (VNA) has announced several initiatives to boost flight capacity and offer attractive ticket prices, particularly during early morning and late evening hours.
This move is in response to the Civil Aviation Authority of Việt Nam (CAAV)’s directive to increase supply capacity on domestic and international routes.
Vietnam Airlines is promoting early morning and late evening flights to meet the high travel demand during the summer peak. They have observed high occupancy rates ranging from 75 to 94 per cent during these off-peak hours to popular tourist destinations such as Hà Nội, HCM City, Đà Nẵng, Nha Trang, Đà Lạt, Quy Nhơn and Phú Quốc.
The airline is preparing to receive additional Airbus A320neo and Boeing 787-10 aircraft this month, as part of an expansion to increase their fleet and accommodate more passengers.
The airline credits its high occupancy rates to effective co-operation with localities and partners. This collaborative approach has enabled Vietnam Airlines to swiftly implement extensive promotional programmes and activities to meet traveller demands. — VNS
