Vietstar Airlines officially became the first multirole aviation enterprise to receive an Air Operator Certificate for the operation of commercial jets in Viet Nam.

Under the permit from the Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam, Vietstar will run two types of aircraft – the Embraer Legacy 600 and Beechcraft King Air B300.

The Embraer Legacy 600 is a modern commercial jet equipped with VIP seats. It can fly up to eight hours in the Asia-Pacific radius. The Beechcraft King Air B300 is a modern, high speed aircraft fitted with eight travel seats.

Vietstar Airlines said it will sign contracts to provide VIP flight services to domestic and foreign individuals, organisations and businesses, providing the highest level of luxury. It is planning to buy new-generation Legacy 650 aircraft in the near future.

Vietstar Airlines and other businesses in the Vietstar system also provide maintenance and medical flight services. It is preparing infrastructure investment projects at Tan Son Nhat, Noi Bai and Da Nang airports.

The domestic market already has the participation of Vietnam Airlines, Vietjet Air, Jetstar Pacific, Vasco and Bamboo Airways. — VNS
