Vietravel Airlines has announced that Đào Đức Vũ, former Deputy CEO and Director of Flight Operations at Bamboo Airways, is new CEO.
Vietravel Airlines has announced the appointment of Đào Đức Vũ, former Deputy CEO and Director of Flight Operations at Bamboo Airways, as its new CEO.
The airline made the announcement on Tuesday, following the resignation of Nguyễn Minh Hải, who had served as CEO for nearly a year before stepping down due to personal reasons.
With over 35 years of experience in the aviation industry, Vũ, who took control from the beginning of September, has held several senior leadership roles at various air companies, including the Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam, Vietnam Airlines, Cambodia Angkor Air and Vietjet.
Vũ had previously served as Deputy CEO in charge of flight operations at Vietravel Airlines when it was established in mid 2020. He later moved to Bamboo Airways in October 2022, where he held a similar role.
On his return to Vietravel Airlines, Vũ expressed his commitment to upholding the airline’s core values and business philosophy while striving for sustainable growth.
Vietravel Airlines Chairman Nguyễn Quốc Kỳ said the airline is entering a new phase of development with ambitious goals and he believes the new CEO will play a pivotal role in expanding the airline’s network.
Vietravel Airlines began commercial operations in early 2021. Despite facing some challenges, including a limited fleet of just three aircraft, the airline reported its first quarterly profit in early April, of over VNĐ10 billion. — VNS
