Vietjet wins PATA Gold Award 2015


Vietjet has won the Pacific Asia Travel Association's (PATA) Gold Award 2015 for its innovative and meaningful campaigns, which have inspired and contributed to tourism development in the Asia-Pacific region.

HCM CITY (Biz Hub) — Vietjet has won the Pacific Asia Travel Association's (PATA) Gold Award 2015 for its innovative and meaningful campaigns, which have inspired and contributed to tourism development in the Asia-Pacific region.

Beating 269 entries from 83 travel and tourism organisations worldwide, Vietjet is the first-ever Vietnamese winner of the award.

The award ceremony will take place at the Bangalore International Exhibition Centre (BIEC) on September 8, 2015, during PATA Travel Mart 2015 in Bangalore, India.

PATA Gold Award is a prestigious annual prize of the tourism industry that is globally recognised. Founded in 1951, PATA has been contributing significantly to regional tourism.

Among its 36 Gold Awards, PATA will present up to four Grand Awards for the best entries in the broad categories of environment, education and training, heritage and culture and marketing campaign.

Vietjet has already won several national and international awards, such as Asia Pacific Stevie Awards 2015, Top 5 Best New Routes launched around the world, Airline with Most Culturally Creative and Entertaining In-flight Programmes, and Golden Star Award for Quality (awarded by Business Initiative Directions in Geneva, Switzerland).

The airline has also earned a merit of distinction from Viet Nam's transport and culture, sports and tourism ministries. — VNS
