Vietnam Thuong Tin Commercial Joint Stock Bank (Vietbank) and City International Hospital have signed an agreement for co-operation and launched the Binh An CIH - Vietbank card to offer greater convenience for patients in paying the hospital.

Vietbank will provide the hospital with consultancy and banking and financial solutions, and help it digitise and become a "smart” hospital.

The launch of the Napas contactless prepaid card is also in line with the Government’s policy of promoting cashless payment in the health sector.

Customers can also check balances and withdraw cash at ATMs among other uses.

When registering for a card, customers will get a medical examination for free, a reduction of 7 per cent in service fees for themselves and their family and a waiver of the issuance and annual fees.

The first 500 customers successfully registering for the card will get a refund of up to VND400,000 when paying for treatment at CIH.

Vietbank also places its ATMs at the hospital.

Duong Bao Anh of the hospital management said: “All hospital fee payment procedures are now much simpler and faster, and customers can just tap the card to pay and do not have to carry along a lot of cash."

Nguyen Dang Khoa, deputy general director of Vietbank, said: "Vietbank will work with City International Hospital to help customers obtain and use the Binh An card quickly and most conveniently.” — VNS
