The Vietnam International Bakery Equipment Show (VBES), the countrys first ever baking event, will take place in HCM City from October 16.
The four-day event, to be held at the Saigon Exhibition and Conference Center in District 7, is expected to attract more than 70 international and local companies, who will showcase products like bakery machines and baking ingredients.
They include well-known global like ABC, Unifood, Rheon, Sanko, BakeMate, Namchow, Uni-President, and Chung Pu.
Besides 130 booths displaying flour, baking ingredients and additives, gift boxes, packaging materials, and machinery, the exhibition will also have a booth to disseminate the latest information related to the bakery industry and its latest technologies.
The expo will be an optimal business platform for foreign and local businesses, bakery material buyers, distributors, and suppliers to meet under one roof.
It will also feature a variety of culinary and exchange activities related to the bakery business, including baking shows and dissemination of information on food safety and new global trends in the bakery and confectionery industries.
A number of confectionery making shows will also be organised to apprise visiting families about new materials and equipment.
Taiwanese chef Johnny Chen (Yung-Hsin), the winner of the 2015 Mondial du Pain competition, will attend the show to share his expertise and new global trends with local bakers.
The bakery and confectionery industry has achieved sustainable growth in recent years. The sales of bread and other baked goods are forecast to top US$630 million this year and increase by 8.6 percent a year until 2023.
VBES is organized by the Ministry of Industry and Trade, Yorkers Exhibition Service Viet Nam, Taipei Bakery Association, and Chan Chao International Company. — VNS
