The Ha Nam Province-based Vicem But Son Cement JSC said that it has accelerated the appliance of science and technology to increase production and business efficiency.

The company has researched using sludge and common industrial waste as an alternative fuel for clinker production and environmental harm reduction. On September 2019, the first tonnes of alternative fuels were supplied to the company's second furnace. That laid a foundation for the company to launch an automatic processing and replacement fuel supply line only three months later.

According to Vicem But Son, due to the impact of the COVID, the falling demand for civil construction and the increasing prices of materials such as coal, shells and gasoline have caused businesses in the cement sector many difficulties. Therefore, increasing technological innovation and promoting creativity has helped the company improve quality of its product, enhance its productivity in order to maintain consumer confidence.

In 2021, the company earned more than VND2.97 trillion in net revenue and other income, contributing VND153 billion to the State budget. — VNS
