Lifebuoy, a brand from Unilever Vietnam, and the Vietnam Pediatric Association have signed a long-term strategic partnership for a "Healthy Vietnam" from 2023 to 2025.

The long-term collaboration programme aims to reach and support five million Vietnamese children by focusing on the following key areas: enhancing community education and communication to build hygiene habits for disease prevention in children; collaborating with healthcare professionals to provide medical support for children; supporting scientific research activities, conferences, seminars, and disseminating scientific knowledge related to infectious diseases in children.

Within the framework of the collaboration, Lifebuoy's "Stay Strong Vietnam” Fund will support the cost of medical examinations for children and initiate a series of collaboration programmes with hospitals to organise free medical check-ups for children in remote areas, as well as provide healthcare products.

It is expected that hospitals will be sponsored with antibacterial hygiene products and 15,000 sets of healthcare products for children from Lifebuoy.

Additionally, the two entities will collaborate in developing a handbook titled Guide to Hygiene and Care for Children to Prevent Infectious Diseases to promote and disseminate the materials in 17 hospitals across the country.

Assoc. Prof. Tran Minh Dien, chairman of the Vietnam Pediatric Association, said at the signing ceremony: "This is a crucial moment to raise awareness about hygiene and strengthen comprehensive health protection for children nationwide. With the commitment and collaborative efforts of Lifebuoy, a brand from Unilever Vietnam, we have planned specific programmes and practical social activities to fulfill the mission of raising community awareness about infectious diseases in the period of 2023-2025."

"Over the past 30 years, Unilever has always been committed to accompanying Viet Nam in improving the health and sanitation conditions of the people, especially children. This is a crucial pillar in Unilever's commitment to sustainable development. To date, more than 22 million children and people in Viet Nam have benefited from these programmes," said Le Thi Hong Nhi, head of Communications and Corporate Affairs - Personal Care SEA, Unilever. — VNS
