Tokyo Metro launches promotion for Vietnamese tourists

Tokyo Metro Company has launched a promotion campaign called “Experience Colourful Tokyo” that aims to attract more Vietnamese tourists to the city.

From August to September 8 this year and from January 27 to March 1 next year, Vietnamese visitors can buy Tokyo subway tickets from Song Han Tourist agents as part of the promotion “Experience Tokyo with Your Favorite Travel Product” and get a chance to win one of 300 gifts from Vietnamese brands.

The promotion is open to both individual tourists and groups. For each payment, the tourist will receive a lucky draw ticket to win random gifts from agents.

The Tokyo subway tickets are part of a full-service package exclusively for visitors to Tokyo. Visitors can travel all of Tokyo's metro subway lines at a discounted price. There are three types of tickets that can be used within 24 hours, 48 ​​hours or 72 hours. Tickets also allow buyers to enter famous destinations in Tokyo for free.

By using this ticket, visitors can go through a total of 13 subway lines for unlimited trips.

In Japan, the Tokyo Metro manages and operates nine out of 13 Tokyo metro routes with total 891km in length and more than 170 stations, carrying 6.3 million passengers a day. Half of Tokyo’s population and 76 per cent of passengers use public transport in Japan.

The corporation built its own centre building and has training facilities, ticket gates, information rooms, ticket machines and practice rooms.

Tokyo Metro also has related business activities such as construction of buildings that connect directly to metro stations and shops in railway stations to provide conveniences to customers. — VNS
