HÀ NỘI — In 2025, the Vietnam National Coal and Mineral Industries Group (TKV) has set a target of producing over 38 million tonnes of raw coal, coal consumption of 50 million tonnes, and importing 13.2 million tonnes.
The group expects to achieve total revenue of VNĐ172.795 trillion (US$7.1 billion), with profits exceeding VNĐ3.4 trillion ($140 million) and an average monthly salary of over VNĐ17.5 million ($710) per employee.
TKV remains committed to fulfilling its five-year plan (2021–2025), with an emphasis on sustainable and efficient coal production and consumption practices. The group will continue contributing to the socio-economic development of Quảng Ninh Province, maintaining its pivotal role in the region’s mining industry.
Chairman of TKV's Board of Members, Ngô Hoàng Ngân, emphasised the importance of adhering to assigned plans, enhancing domestic coal production and increasing imports to meet rising demand, particularly from power generation sectors.
In addition, TKV will prioritise digital transformation, adopt advanced cost management systems and strengthen security and resource protection measures at mining sites.
In 2024, TKV produced over 37.2 million tonnes of coal and consumed 46.8 million tonnes, contributing significantly to the regional economy. The group paid over VNĐ17.6 trillion (US$720 million) in taxes to Quảng Ninh Province, exceeding the annual target by 111 per cent. — VNS
