Tiger Beer of HEINEKEN Vietnam Brewery Co., Ltd officially opened its Tiger Street Football field on January 8 in Moc Hoa District in Long An Province.
The project is the resultof two months of construction with the support of Moc Hoa Districts Culture-Information and Broadcasting Centre.
The mini football field is one of three football fields that Tiger Beer promised to build last year aspart of its commitment to support local street-football talents in Viet Nam
According to the representative of Tiger Beer, the other two fields will be built in Hue and Nam Dinh provinces. The total investment for the three mini football fields is valued at VND 1.2 billion.
The locations for the football fields weredecided by fans through public votes on the Tiger Beer Facebook page during the Tiger Street Football 2019 campaign.
The mini football field in Long An Province is for 5 vs 5 players (20x40metres), while the one in Nam Dinh and Hue are 30x50 metres and for 7 vs 7 players.
Tiger Beer has had a strongcommitment in supporting football development in Viet Nam. The football fields are the next step in extending support to the local street-football community and to give back tosociety.
Le Van Huong, regional sales commercial manager for HEINEKEN Viet Nam, on behalf of Tiger Beer, said at the ceremony: “This community project is our way of uncaging these talents and providing them with permanent platforms to nurture, hone and showcase their skills.”
Lam Hoa Xung, chairman of Moc Hoa District's People Committee said the project would provide opportunities for talented players to develop their skills in football. – VNS
