Threadsol, a software solutions provider to the garment sector, has said it will present its strategic vision for Viet Nam’s apparel industry at the Saigon Textile and Garment Industry Export exhibition to be held in HCM City from April 5 to 8.
“The challenges manufacturers face in the context of the economic slowdown and rising wages can be neutralised by the unseen opportunities of material savings,” Manasij Ganguli, CEO of ThreadSol, said.
“It is high time apparel manufacturers realise the gravity of targeting fabric cost to increase profits.
“If they want to stay competitive, they need to achieve this through automation of processes by adopting advanced solutions.”
Saurav Ujjain, ThreadSol’s Viet Nam country head, said: “We see Viet Nam aiming to reach US$40 million in apparel exports in the next 5 years. This is a very critical juncture where material costs need to be lowered to increase profits, especially with brands squeezing the manufacturers for lower costs.”
The exhibition, to be held at the Saigon Exhibition and Convention Center, is expected to attract more than 1,150 participants from 23 countries and territories.
It will display the latest garment, textile and dyeing machinery and equipment, automatic sewing chain, automatic fabric measuring and cutting machine, design software, raw materials, fabrics, and fibres from the world's leading companies. — VNS
